BESIEGED BY BULL
SIX HOURS IN OAR SYDNEY, March V. Three women’visitors to a property near Liverpool spent an uncomfortable six hours yesterday in a motor car that had stalled, and was besieged by a savage-looking bull. They were Mrs. J. Palfreit, ot Hurtsville, and two friends, who had been about to visit Mrs Palfreit’s brother. As they were driving through the boundary gate of Ins property the bull charged down the paddock towards the ear. The engine stalled. To start it one of the women would have to get out and crank the car, but the. bull stood menacingly by/ All attempts to frighten it away failed, and the women stayed hour after hour in the safety of the car. Eventually their predicament was noticed by an employee of an adjoining farm. He explained that the wife of the bull’s owner bad been in the habit of giving it sweets each time she came through the gate returning from town.
