Storm Indicators.
Early yesterday countless numbers of seagulls came in over the Opotiki hats. The birds commenced to arrive at about six o’clock and the line of gulls extended for many miles, and presented an unusual sight as the gulls appeared from the haze over the sea and travelled over the borough up the Otara valley. 'The birds were apparently driven, in-shore, by a distant storm which later caused the seas to increase considerably. The gulls were again in evidence? iii" large numbers this morning. v’ : /> ’
