MAN’S DEATH IN BUSH POLICE PUZZLED • SYDNEY. Feb. 0. The body of' a man, with .the head, an arm and a leg missing, was found in a gorge about half a mile off the the Old Northern road, Clenorie. late yesterday afternoon. The police have not yet been able to determine whether the 'man met his death by foul means or by accident. The man had been dead about two or three months. Nothing was found by the police to indicate the man’s identity. Two brothers, collecting ferns., found the body about 4.30 yesterday afternoon. and they informed the Castle Hill police, who reported the matter to the far western wireless patrol — Detective-Sergeant Avery, and Detective Flint. They found the body on the hank of a. creek in desolate country. The limbs missing from the body; were found not far away, but tho head could not be found.

It is possible, the police believe, that the man was camping, and died from malnutrition and exposure. A medical examination ol' the remains will be made this morning. 'A case found near the body contained a pair of dark tweed trousers, a shirt, razor, a. wooden mirror. a shaving; brush and two penknives. No man has been reported missing in the district, and the residents are unable to help the detectives. The body was clad in, a grey flannel shirt, light grey working trousers, brown pullover, a dark clerical grev serge coat, and Bluoher boots. Detective-Sergeant Avery and Detective Flint will leave for Glenonc early this morning to search for the man’s head.
