During the week-end a team from ■K Tauranga travelled to Opotiki to play for the’;'At trill Cup, which has -been held by- Opotiki for several seasons against other Bay of Plenty representative teams. The Tauranga team were successful in their endeavour. Batting first, the visitors scored 205: Wilkinson 49Sinclair 49 and Barry Budd 2S( being the main scorers. Opotiki replied with 57: Le Pine 21 and Wells 14 being the only batsmen to reach double figures. Tauranga in their second innings had scored 64 for tw 0 wickets when they declared : Curtis 28 and Wilkinson 26 not out being tlio main, run-getters. Opotiki, with about an hour and ahalf to play had made 114 for seven wickets when time Avas called. Tauraiiga were declared the winners on the first innings. The Attrill Cup was presented to the Tauranga captain by the president of the Opotiki Cricket Association. The captain of the Tauranga team suitably, responded and cheers were given to the opposing team and the ladies.
