TRUCKS AND CARS STOLEN
EPIBMVIIC IN OPOTIKI ONE MAN ARRESTED During the last two week-ends a number of trucks and ears have been, unlawfully converted from different; parts of Opotiki. On Saturday last Air Claude. Thompson’s ear was taken, while last night Air. A. M'ortensen’s ■ truck was removed. On the Saturday Air J. Sloan’s truck rTHuHr rremoved from outside Air. J. . Mp/' f.Clark’s shop and was later loan'll-' fWdly damaged. Air. J. Ross’s truck was also removed c»n the same night. . The vehicles were, driven to various points on the Coast road and in one instance the truck was found precariously balanced on tile edge tf the roadway. j It is understood that an arrest has been made and an appearance will be. made before the court- at an early ; date.... ; , ‘ • ' j. • • ’ * ~ f . ‘ ;
