PAEROA RUGBY UNION.
At the usual weekly meeting of the
management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union on Wednesday evening Mr H. R. Bush (chairman) presided, and the other members present were Messrs Vuglar, Evitt, Menzies, Hill, and Walmsley (honorary secretary).
M. Kelly and V. Lyes were registered, as players, and they were allotted to the Netherton Club. l|
Mr C. Mettam was appointed referee lor Saturday's senior match, and Mr W/.' Moore referee lor the junior match.
Mr Menzies intimated his intention ot donating a medal for competition for the best senior forward. Mr , Menzies was thanked for his donation, and it was decided that as Mr Jackson had already donated a medal, Mr Menzies' medal be awarded to the best forward and Mr Jackson's to the best back. The awards will be decided as follows : Each Saturday Mr Menzies will select two outsiders to select the three best backs and three best forwards. For first place five points will be given, for second place three points, and for third place one point. The awards will be placed in envelopes, and will be opened at the end of the season by the committee, the players receiving the highest number of points to win the trophies.
