ARRESTED FOR THEFT.

Te Aroha, May 18,

Patrick Campbell and a woman living with him, both of Auckland, were arrested at Te Aroha yesterday, for alleged theft at the Brian Boru Hotel

and other premises at Thames. Some goods, alleged to be stolen property, were tound in a house vacated by Campbell at Thames, and also other goods which the prisoners could not" account for, in another house at Te Aroha. The male prisoner has already served sentences amounting to seventeen years in gaol for various oftences. At the time of his arrest he was working as a bricklayer's labourer. The accused were tried before a Justice ot the Peace this morning, and remanded to Thames. The arrest was effected by Detective
