An extraordinary complaint was brought under the notice of Hurstville (N. S. W.) aldermen, when Mrs C. A. Cubley drew the council's attention to the annoyance and destruction caused to her garden by the flashlight thrown from the Hurstville Picture Show. The light, she declared, emitted a vapour, or spray, which had a most withering or burning effect on. all forms of vegetation. The writer trusted that the council would see the justice of the complaint and compel the proprietors to keep the light within their own enclosure. Local drapers ana store-keepers now selling direct from the Roslyn Worsted and Woollen Mills, (largest in Australasia), the celebrated Roslyn All-wool Blankets, Rugs, Clothing, Jerseys, Unshrinkable Flannel and Underwear, " Delta" finish, for men, women and children.
