We regret to have to record 'the death of Mrs Fitch, wife of Mr J. S. Fitch, of Paeroa The deceased lady had been in bad health for a long time, and she passed away oh Saturday last. Sincere sympathy is felt for the husband and family in their sad affliction.

At Coromandel 58 shooting licenses have been issued this year against 37 last year. In Coromandel the list of those holding licenses is advertised, and non-holders of licenses who offend ai'e therefore more easily detected and identified.

The Rev. J. Fussel has been appointed to the charge of the Anglican district ot Coromandel, which includes Mercury Bay and Waiheke. He paid a flying visit to Coromandel, but will return at an early date with Mrs Fussel and family to take up his residence there.

You had your duty to perform. " The clank of the theatrical leg-irons should die out after that.
