SOUTH AUCKLAND UNION.
A meeting of the management committee of the South Auckland Rugby Union was held at Karangahake on Wednesday evening. Mr H. J. Field was in the chair, and the other delegates present were Messrs Kinsella, Clavis, Cbrbett, Walmsley, Moore, Johnson, Vuglar, and Bush (honorary secretary).
The secretary was instructed to send a letter ot condolence to Mr D. M. Deane, one of the union's vicepresidents, on the death of his wife.
It was decided that two rounds be played in the Sharebrokers' Cup competition, the first round being arranged as follows : —June 17th, Karangahake v. Waikino at Waikino, Waihi v. Paeroa at Waihi; June 24th, Karangahake v. Waihi at Karangahake, Waikino v. Paeroa at Paeroa; July Ist, Karangahake v. Paeroa at Karangahake, Waihi v. Waikino at Waikino.
It was decided to suggest the iollowing dates for inter-union matches : — July Bth, Thames v. Goldfields at Thames; July 15th, Maniapoto and King Country v. Goldfields at Waihi; July 22nd, Waikato v. Goldfields at Waihi. The Referees' Association is to be asked to appoint referees lor the interunion matches. Mr G. Jackson has presented the Paeroa Rugby Union with a gold medal, and Mr Jackson's generosity is much appreciated by the players.
