RIVERS IMPROVEMENTS.

ARRIVAL OF ENGINEER.

Mr H. R. Young, whcr is the engineer to take charge of the woiks in connection with the improvement of the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers, has arrived in Paeroa with a staff of five assistants. The necessary preliminary surveys will be taken in hand at once, and it is to be hoped that there will now be an end of the irritating delays that have taken place, and that the actual work will be commenced without delay and carried out with the utmost possible speed.
