SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

BARRY BEATS ALBANY

AN EASY WIN,

London, April 1

The sculling match for the championship of England between Ernest Barry, holder of the title, and W. Albany, was rowed this afternoon over the Thames course. Both men were in splendid form, and great interest was taken in the match.

The race was a good one to Hammersmith Bridge, which Albany shot with a lead of a couple o{ lengths.

Barry then went alter his man and soon cut down his lead.

Rowing a fine stroke, he pulled away from the challenger and won easily by half a dozen lengths in 23mins. 2secs.
