THE DAIRYING COMPANY.
MEETING OF DIRECTORS.
The usual monthly meeting of the directors of the Thames Valley Co-op-erative Dairying Company was held this week, Mr A. C. Hubbard (chairman) presiding. A requisition was received from settlers in the vicinity of Pipiroa, Hauraki Plains, asking for the erection ot a creamery in that district. It was considered that the guaranteed supply of milk was not sufficient to justify the erection of a creamery at the present J time, but with a view to assisting the settlers in that vicinity it was decided to make arrangements to accept home separated cream from the district on the understanding that as soon as the supply warrants it a creamery or creameries will be erected. Regarding the proposed Komata creamery, the settlers in that district having agreed to comply with the company's requirements, the erection ot a creamery will be proceeded with, and it should be in running order by next September. The tender"ot Messrs Le Manquais, Lamb and Co. for the supply of butter boxes for the ensuing twelve months was accepted. Payments to suppliers for the month of March totalled ,£4097, the payments to suppliers to the various creameries being as follows (omitting the odd shillings and pence): — Netherton .£663, Wharepoa ,£591, Waitoa £S4st Hikutaia /,442, Matatoke Manawaru Paeroa ,£355, Ngarua ,£192, Wardville £171.
