STARS.
A party of bowlers from Te Aroha — Stanley, Gahagan, Burton, and Dalton (skip)—visited Waikino on Saturday, expecting to return to Te Aroha with the much coveted goldfields stars. The holders are the Karangahake team, being Page, Dobson, Christie, and Jury (skip). It was late when the Te' Aroha players reached Waikino, and at one stage of the game it looked as if ■ they were in tor a bad time, but at the seventeenth head they were even, and darkness supervening the game remained unfinished. The scores when play was abandoned were :■■' Te Aroha 18, Karangahake 20.
Challenges for the stars are in from Paeroa and Waihi.
