Melbourne, April 22
The general manager of the Messa-geries-Maritimes Company emphatically denies the rumour that the company contemplates withdrawing from the Australian trade. The present contract expires in July, 1912, and negotiations be-
tween the company and the French Government for renewal have not yet been completed. No one is yet able to say what the new agreement will be.
