BROKER'S GOLDEN PROMISES
THE INEVITABLE SMASH.

Paris, April 21. The brokerage and banking business established by Jacques Riviers has collapsed. It was based on an offer to clients of one per cent interest daily on money entrusted to him for Bourse operations. The deficiency is i, 120,000 sterling. Riviers has absconded, and a warrant tor his arrest has been issued.
