[By Electric Telegraph.]
Mexico City, April 19,
Armistice proposals have been received by the Diaz Government from the Insurrectors' agents at Washington. A favourable answer has been returned. Apologies have been made to the United States for the accidental killing of citizens of Douglas, Arizona, the Mexican Cabinet pointing out that most of the shooting was done by American filibusters aiding the rebels. The rebels abandoned Aqua Prita in consequence of a shortage of ammunition. The latest statement shows that the casualties did not exceed 30 dead and 50 wounded. The Federals have occupied the town. A number ot rebels crossed the frontier and surrendered to the American authorities.
