BOWLING.
The Paeroa bowlers who had been
taking part in the tournament at Cambridge .returned home this week, after having spent a most enjoyable holiday. The full rinks were only fairly successful, McWatters' team winning two games and losing two, while Bray's team won three games and lost two. In the pairs' competition Bray and Taylor put up a good fight, getting into the final, when they were defeated by two points. The Paeroa green will be closed this week, and the work of top-dressing with the soil obtained irom Cambridge will be put in hand next week.
Provided the weather is suitable, the Paeroa Club's competitions will be concluded to-morrow afternoon. In the singles championship the final will be between McWatters, senr. and junr., while the handicap singles will be fought out between McWatters, Hewitt, and Clews, In the full rink competition the teams skipped by McWatters and Taylor will play off to see which will meet Towers' team in the final.
