RIFLE SHOOTING
WEST TAIERI DEFENCE CLUB The West Taieri Defence Club fired the second competition counting for the Clud Championship and handicap cups. The conditions were 10 shots at 500 and 600 yards, and some good scores were registered. E. Adams gained top place with 99 out of 100. This Included a possible at 600 yards. Other good scores were those of W. Patterson, H. Webb, W. Crimp, and E Wills, who obtained 48 each at 500 yards. - Individual scores: E. Adams—soo yards 49, 600 yards 50, total 99; W. Crimp--48. 46, 94: A. L. Graham—46, 47, 93; D. Ashley—46, 47, 93; E. Wills—4B, 45. 93.
