DUAL VOTING

THREE CASES IN WESTLAND BY-ELECTION P.A. GREYMOUTH, Dec. 10. There were three cases of dual voting in the recent Westland by-elec-tion. This has been disclosed in the official scrutiny of votes, which was concluded to-day under the supervision of the returning officer, Mr W. M. Fraser, of Hokitika. The three persons concerned are all elderly men, and the question of what action is to be taken has not yet been decided. The official count, which includes postal, absentee and declaration votes, is l now proceeding, and the final result of the election will probably be known late on Friday afternoon.
