Palm Bearer disappointed her friends once more in the Fendalton Handicap. In view of her repeated failures this season, it is interesting to . recall that she is only repeating her form of last season, when she raced moderately in the spring and summer, gradually working up to her best in the autumn, to finish up with her only successes, the Dominion and Great Autumn Handicaps, at Riccarton in April.
