DEATH RESULTS
TRAPPED IN BURNING OIL P.A. AUCKLAND, The man who suffered serious burns when he was trapped by burning oil on the water at Freeman’s Bay on Monday died in the Auckland Hospital last night. He was Peter Baron, aged 62, ship’s watchman and scowmastei. Baron was trapped by flames when he was working on a scaffolding beneath the wharf. He was rescued by a workmate, who went to him through blazing oil and took him ashore.
