— —■ FAIR TO FINE The official weather forecast, covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington, is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the South Island, and a weak low pressure trough lies west of Auckland Peninsula. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light to moderate north-east winds predominating. Some scattered low cloud in the morning, but weather otherwise fair to fine and mild. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions. Weather in Dunedin. —Warm sunshine for a total of 12hr 12min. with a cool breeze from the north-west, were the features of yesterday’s weather in Dunedin. There was little variation in temperature, the range being from 58.6 deg to 62.5 deg The grass minmum was 34.8 deg. The barometer was rising steadily at midnight, when the reading was 30.42 in (1030 millibars).
