COURSE APPROVED
MAYOR’S COMMENT NO LOCAL DEVELOPMENTS Commenting last night on the announcement that precautionary measures were to be extended to the South Island, the Mayor, Mr Cameron, said he was very pleased to hear that this course was to be adopted. “Both as Mayor and as a member of the Otago Education Board,” he added, “ I
heartily approve of the Government’s action.” Official advice of restrictions in the South Island had not reached the district medical officer of health, Dr G. O. L. Dempster, last night. In response to an inquiry, he stated that there had been no developments in the situation locally.
