SIXTH SERIES COMPLETED Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. The final wool sale of the sixth series was held to-day, with an offering of 25,772 bales of which 26,348 were sold. New Zealand submitted 9425 bales and Australia 13,610 bales. Sales closed on a firm note, with the best wools at the highest levels of the series. There was an excellent Continental and Home trade demand. Throughout the sales 150,000 bales were offered and 145,000 were sold. The Home trade bought 70,000 and the Continent 75,000. The market strengthened throughout, and competition was active. Best Merinos were 10 per cent, and others 5 to 10 per cent, higher than the closing prices of the fifth series.
