HOMING PIGEONS

The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club (lew a single-bird race from Kaikoura on Saturday. Foggy conditions made the race a good test. The winning bird flew the 286 miles in Bhr 58inin, at a velocity of 934yds per minute. Following is the result:— J. Law’s Wee Mac, 1; G. Jones's Woganda, 2; P. Paterson’s Red Pickle, 3; M. Anderson’s Hill Lady, 4; W. Hargreaves’s Sandy, 5: P. Fraser’s Aussie, 6. The club will fly the final races next Saturday from Ashbufton and East Cape.
