MONEY STOLEN FROM SHOP TWO TILLS ROBBED Special to the Daily Times CROMWELL, Dec. 5. The premises of a retail firm in Cromwell’s main street were entered in the early hours of this morning and a sum of money, described as “fairly substantial,” was stolen from two tills on the counters. Entry was gained by forcing a window at the rear of the premises. Burned matches and some charred paper found this morning were thought at first to have a sinister meaning, but it is considered likely that the intruder used the matches simply for purposes of illumination.
