Monthly Meeting Mr -A. McDonald presided at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association yesterday afternoon. The protest of Mr W. F. Moore about the awiird of first place to Portis Bros, in the Jersey section for a cow with two of her progeny was upheld, Mr Moore being awarded first place. It was decided to refund Portis. Bros, their entry money. It was decided to make a contribution of £5 to the North Otago Highland Pipe Band Three new members were elected. It was reported that several classes in the horse section Were judged outside the ring without permission, and it was decided to ensure that no repetition occurred in the future. It was also decided to restrict the children’s riding events to four In future shows. Because the dog trials could not be completed on show day, Mr Anderson, of Omarama. had been awarded the cup for the aggregate. It was reported that Mr Anderson did not consider .this a fair way of being awarded the prize, and that he was willing to come to Oamaru .at some future date to compete for the aggregate. Mr McKenzie reported that other entrants had agreed to this, and Messrs McKenzie and Smith were appointed to arrange for this competition to be held.
