CEYLON TEA SALES
STRONG DEMAND MAINTAINED Rec. 8 p.m. COLOMBO, Dec. 3. A strong demand was maintained at the Ceylon tea sales to-day, but there were some price irregularities. Offerings totalled 2,439,0001 b. High-grown varieties were slightly dearer and mediums distinctly dearer, but low-growns, although in strong demand, were somewhat irregul he t op price was 250 Ceylon cents a lb for flowery broken orange pekoes. The price ranges were:—Flowery broken orange pekoes 150 to 200 cents, broken orange pekoes fannings 140 to 200, broken orange pekoes 140 to 175,'broken pekoes 125 to 180, orange pekoes 140 s to 170, pekoes 140 to 200, broken "lixed 110 to 150, dusts 115 to 155.
