RATING’S ILLNESS
BELLONA HURRIES TO PORT P.A WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. Because of the illness of one of her ratings, the cruiser Bellona arrived at Wellington •at 3.45 p.m. to-day, over two hours earlier than the time announced. The sick man is Leading Seaman J. Douglas, of Waihi. He fell ill this morning and Surgeon' Lieutenant - commander I. Broadfoot, R.N.Z.N.V.R., operated for an abdominal complaint. A Free Ambulance car met the ship and took the patient to the Public Hospital where his condition was reported not serious. , ~
