SPLENDID RESULT
NATIONAL SALES OF HEALTH STAMPS DUNEDIN SECOND HIGHEST P.A, WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. The magnificent sum of £89,238 for the two months up to November 30 of the 1947-48 health stamp campaign had been achieved, said the Post-master-general, Mr Hackett, to-day. The complete results for the previous camapign- are: 1944-45, £64,428; 194546, £74,902; and last year, £90,386., “This is a remarkable figure," said Mr Hackett, “and gives every indication that the national objective of. £IOO,OOO will be achieved and the campaign completed even before the end of this month.” In district sales up to November 30. Wellington led with £13,652, Dunedin was next with £12,296, then came Christchurch with £11,283 and Auckland with £9534. Overseas sales at the stamps branch of the G.P.O. amounted to £9196. ,
