NEW MOTOR VESSEL ON MAIDEN VOYAGE
The New Zealand Shipping Company’s new motor vessel Haparangi, which is expected to arrive in Dunedin on Monday on her maiden voyage from Liverpool, via Northern ports. A sister ship of the Norfolk, which recently visited New Zealand, the Haparangi has a stylish appearance, due in part to her raked bow and cruiser stern. Her gross tonnage is 11,300, and her service speed is 17 knots. The Haparangi is commanded by Captain C. R. Pilcher, 0.8. E.
