RIVER REPORTS

CLEAR AND IN GOOD ORDER Elver reports received by the Otago Acclimatisation Society yesterday indicate that the Mimihau, Wyndham and Mataura rivers are clear and in perfect order, while the Catlins is also dear and in good order. The Owaka is a little below normal level.

The Waipahi is low and clear, while the Pomahaka is clear and in perfect order for fly fishing. The Shag Eiver is very low and clear, while Mahinerangi Dam is still rising and is not too good for fly fishing. Any anglers wishing to fish in this area would be wise to concentrate on the Waipori Eiver above the Dam. >

Weather reports from all over the district indicate fine conditions for the week-end.
