MODERATE TEMPERATURES The official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington, is:— Situation.—An anti-cycione centres south-east of New Zealand and a complex depression in the Central ajid South Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mod-erate north-east winds inland, strong at times in coastal districts.. Weather dull, with rain developing in the far west, spreading to the coast late in the day. Temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Changeable.
Weather in Dunedin. —A strong cold north-east wind kept temperatures low in Dunedin yesterday, the maximurh being 56 degrees, the minimum 44.3 degrees, and the grass minimum 43.3 degrees. The sun shone for 2hr 24min, and po rain was recorded. Barometric pressure dropped slowly during the day, the midnight reading being 29.90 in, (1012 millibars).
