WIFE OF J-lOTEL LICENSEE PA TIMARU, Dec. 3. “Baracha.’ 1 Burke’s Pass, who won the first prize in the art union to-day, is Mrs R. C. H. Kilgour, wife of the licensee of the Burke’s Pass Hotel The ticket was purchased in Timaru by her son, and the nom de plume chosen was after a racehorse which Mrs Kilgour had backed with mixed fortune. “ This is the best dividend I have ever had off him,” she said to-night.
