FAIR TO FINE The official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Cilice in Wellington, is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies south-east of New Zealand, and a depression in the Western Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastward. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—North-east to north winds, fresh at times nesr the east coast. Weather fair to fine and mild. Further Outlook.—Fair to cloudy. Weather in Dunedin.—Although a keen breeze from the north-east modified the temperature, a lengthy period of bright sunshine made conditions pleasant in Dunedin yesterday. In all, the sun shone for lOhr lßmin. The maximum temperature was sGdeg, the minimum 41.4 deg, and the grass minimum 52deg. The barometer remained steady, and at midnight the reading was 30.20 in (1023 millibars).
