STABBING AFFRAY

YOUNG MAN WOUNDED TRAIL OF BLOOD IN STREET Daily Times Special Service AUCKLAND. Dec. 3. With two knife wounds in his chest in the region of the heart, a young man staggered in the Lynton Private Hotel in Symonds street shortly after 9 o’clock to-night and collapsed in the passageway after stating he had been stabbed. He was Frederick- Streeton. aged 22, of Mount Roskill. The police and an ambulance were called and he was rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

The affair apparently took place in Symonds street, and a trail of blood was visible from the tramline across the road to the gate and into 'the hotel.

Another young man was later arrested.
