OVERSEAS INVESTMENT
SIMILAR CONTROL ADVOCATED Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 2. A leading Government official predicted that Britain’s colonial and overseas investment might be brought into line with the Government's control of home capital investments. The official pointed out that they both required the same capital purse. “ This first attempt to plan overall the national investment programme plan so far covers only our domestic investments, but wc shall have to associate with it our colonial and overseas investments, because in many cases the same classes ol capnai, costs, and materials are required for all these programmes,” he said. Cuts were not based on any anticipation of further dollar aid or any help under the Marshall Plan, the official continued. ‘‘Actually the colonial aspect has only just been brought into the planning machine, and I think it will take a considerable time to deal with it.”
