FAIR TO FINE The. official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington, is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the south-east Tasman Sea and the South Island. \ Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate east to north-east winds predominating. Weather fair or fine and temperatures cool to moderate. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Although there was an improvement in the weather in Dunedin yesterday, it was mainly overcast, but there was a little sunshine in the late afternoon. There was a light south-west wihd throughout the day, .which kept temperatures cool. No . rain was recorded. The barometer showed a rising tendency, the reading at midnight being 30.18 inches (1022 millibars).
