APPEARANCE IN COURT

DIVORCED WAR BRIDE POSSIBLE RETURN TO NEW ZEALAND Rec. 11 p.m. PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 2. Mrs Norma Pohe, a pretty 20-year-old New Zealand war bride, divorced by her husband in Dubois, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty yesterday to staging a hold-up and attempting another. Mrs Pohe was arrested on November 12, when she pointed a toy pistol at a landlady with whom she was registering for a room. The girl was also accused of robbing another woman of 10 dollars. The judge withheld sentence and took the case under advisement after agreeing with the public defender that Mrs Pohe was not a menace to society. Several members of the Australian Women’s Club of Philadelphia appeared on behalf of Mrs Pohe and it was announced in the court that the New Zealand Legation had offered to pay her passage to New Zealand.
