SHOTS AT PRESIDENT CHIANG
PEIPING, Nov. 30. An unconfirmed Chinese press report to-day said that a shot was fired at President Chiang Kai-shek yesterday as he passed Peiping’s west gate in a car en route to the airport. A Chinese air force lieutenant was immediately arrested for allegedly firing the shot. It is not known whether the shot was an assassination attempt or was fired in the excitement at Chiang’s appearance.
