TWO CENTURIES

CARISBROOK’S BIG TOTAL A fine second-wicket partnership between H. Cameron and L. Milnes laid the foundation for a big total by Carisbrook against Albion-Y.M.C.A., the game opening on a perfect wicket at Carisbrook. A. R. Knight, who hit a 6 off the first ball, went early, but Cameron and Milnes settled down to a spirited exhibition, 100 runs being hoisted in 78 minutes and 200 in 133 minutes. Cameron, who gave a hard chance at 66, reached his century in 130 minutes. His total of 116 included one 6 and 12 4’s. Milnes, who gave one difficult chance, was snapped up in the slips, his 110 taking 165 minutes, and included 11 4's. There was a complete change in the position when the game resumed after the interval, Duncan and Robinson having most of the remaining batsmen in trouble, and the innings ended shortly before 5 o’clock for 306. There was some timorous batting on the part of Albion, only 20 runs being scored in 48 minutes, and two wickets falling in the process. Scores:— Carisbrook First Innings A. R. Knight, c Skinner, b E.
