FISHING FIASCO For many sportsmen the opening of the fishing season in Canterbury was a fiasco. The fish were there, but so were the unpleasant and unsuitable conditions. One keen fisherman stopped fishing with a remark that "it’s great weather for ducks, and I’m off to get a dose of Baxters Lung Preserver.” Outdoor sportsmen have always found a friend in good old “ Baxters.” The weather plays queer tricks, and it is a wise precaution always to slip a bottle of " Baxters ” into the pack when going off to the great outdoors. At first sign of a cough a dose or two of “ Baxters ” will tackle the tickle in the throat and help check serious developments. There’s certainly nothing like " Baxters ” for shifting a cold off the chest. It is an ideal expectorant that is favoured by old and young alike. Include a bottle of “ Baxters ” in your next order from any chemist or store. Baxters, Ltd., 602 Colombo street, Christchurch.—Advt.
