COOL TEMPERATURES ■ > The weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington, is:— Situation.—lntense anti-cyclones He east of the Chathams and south-west of Southland. A trough from the North Tasman across Marlborough is moving slowly north. Forecast to 5' p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate southerly to easterly winds; weather . cloudy with patches off coastal mist or drizzle at first; temperatures cool to moderate. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—The sun did not break through the heavy cloud over Dunedin yesterday and in the late afternoon a light easterly drizzle began to fall. The temperatures varied from 47.4 deg to 55.3 deg, and I the grass minimum was 43.Idee. A total of 0.09 in of rain was recorded. At midnight the barometer showed a falling tendency, although it was still high, the reading being 30.12 in (1012 millibars).
