TWO CASES IN TARANAKI

P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. The Department of Health had been concerned to find that several cases of infantile paralysis had been notified in Auckland during the last week and two in Taranaki, said the Minister of Health, Miss Howard, to-day. It is too early to say if these cases presaged an epidemic, =but the department considered it advisable to be prepared to meet such an emergency. Miss Howard said the medical officer of health in Auckland had communicated with all medical practitioners in his area, giving the facts of the present situation, which was being closely watched. The Minister said that should there be any extension of the present outbreak further advice, will be given to the public.
