SUGGESTIONS OF DISASTER Rec. 8 pjn., LONDON, Nov. 26.

An official in London stated tonight that any suggestion of an imminent collapse or disaster as the result of some new unfavourable development in the dollar situation would he “ utter nonsense.” The official suggested that Britain’s own machinery to keep a check on the dollar position is now watertight, and that in recent discussions with other sterling countries the British authorities may merely have emphasised the .need for their introducing similar checks. ,
