MODERATE TEMPERATURES The official weather forecast, covering the ensuing 24 hours, which was issued yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington, is:— •' Situation.—Pressure is high east south-west of New Zealand, and a depression is moving slowly from theTasman Sea towards the North ' Island. . Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate .winds- from an easterly quarter. Scattered coastal drizzle or light rainj' otherwise' cloudy, with moderate , temperatures. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions. Weather in Dunedin.—Although the sky was mainly overcast—only 1 hour 6 minutes of sunshine was recorded— the weather ’ was pleasant in Dunedin yesterday, with mild temperatures and a slight wind from the north-east. The. highest temperature was 61.1 degrees, the minimum 47.4, and the grass minimum 43.1. The barometer was rising before midnight, when the reading was 30.05 inches (1018 millibars).
