The track at Hutt Park last Saturday was very hard and Logan Rey did not hit out with his usual freedom. If the track has less sting this week-end he may improve on his third placing.

From Takaaiini Grey Streak, who is engaged in the Discovery Handicap at Hutt Park, is a four-year-old roan gelding by Van Derby from Blue Rose, and he is owned and trained by F. J. Smith. Struck Trouble

Nedbury struck trouble at the start of his race at Hutt Park on Saturday and was soon in a hopeless position. A five-year-old by Lucky Jack, Nedbury was got from Mistral, by Wrack from Trix Pointer, the winner of the New Zealand Cup in 1919

Slow Beginning Lone Raider began slowly in the Hutt Park Handicap and was not well placed when the field settled down. He put in a fast run half a mile from home and finished fifth. With a better beginning he may finish closer up in the principal event on Saturday.
