She is trained at Trentham by W. Bryce. Early Favourite Signal Officer is the early favourite for the Metropolitan Handicap, a race he won last year with 8.13, or 21b less than he will carry on Saturday. Foxbridge Filly

Ladyship, who Is due to contest the Oaks on Saturday, is a black filly by Foxbridge from Foreign Queen. Owned by the Maharajah of Kashmir and trained by W. Bryce at Trentham, Ladyship won the Waiorongomai Handicap, of six furlongs," at the Otaki meeting last month. Her dam was got by Mercian King from Megan, by Solferino from Success, by The Officer from Content, by Dreadnought. In Otaio Plate

Sailor Boy was freely raced last season, being started 22 times for two wins, four seconds and one third. So far this season he has had five unplaced starts, and his form does not suggest him as a prospect for the Otaio Plate. Won at Trentham

Primitive, who has 7.13 in the Seymour Handicap, won the Trial Stakes at the Trentham meeting last month from a very big field, and she is not likely to be among the outsiders for Saturday s race. A three-year-old filly by Defaulter, she was got from Cyrillian, and she is trained by -F. Roberts for Mr H. Greenwood. Derby Winner

The sire and dam of Liebestraum both won cups at two miles. Beau Vite at Auckland and Serenata at Riccarton. Liebestraum is raced in parnership by the Masterton studmaster, Mr T. RGeorge, for many years the Dominions leading trainer, and Mr W. R. Richmond, Hastings, and is trained at Masterton by R. A. Tudor, who had the honour of producing a Derby winner in his first season as a trainer.
