OVERSEAS LEAGUE

ANNUAL MEETING It was reported at the annual meeting of theXlverseas League (Dunedin branch) that, with the addition of 21 new members during the year, the roll stood at 200. Letters of tWhnks for some of the 157 food parcels sent to Britain were read by the corresponding secretary, Mr T. Ritchie. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr A. S. Bruce Smith: immediate past president, Mrs W. A. Ross; vicepresidents, Mr B, McKenzie: Mrs A.JM. Harroway: secretary, Mrs G. H. Baker: treasurer, Mr G. W. J. Bell: executive— Miss D. I. Brown, Mrs Garside, Mr E. Wood, Mr J, S. Skinner, Mrs W. A. Ross; representative on the Merchant Navy Committee, Mr T. Ritchie. Items were given by Mrs W. Dugdale (recitation), Miss Daphne Mills (song), Mrs W. A. Ross and Mr Paterson (duet). At the conclusion of the meeting supper was served.
